Start with the essentials
You do not need a complete military loadout to enjoy airsoft. Prioritise impact-rated eye protection accepted by the venue, sturdy footwear, water, weather layers and a way to carry small personal items.
Most operators can provide a rental replica and magazines. Hiring first lets you learn whether you prefer woodland, CQB or a different style of game before buying equipment.
Ask the operator before travelling
Read the event page and site rules, then contact the operator if anything is unclear. Check arrival time, parking, food, battery or gas requirements, BB rules, chrono procedure and whether face protection is mandatory.
Venue rules take priority over general internet advice. A product can be suitable in one site and unsuitable in another because limits, eye-protection policies and game formats differ.
